The Village of Peyia village is 19 km northwest of Paphos. It boasts picturesque fountains and a beautiful stone-paved village square. Nearby are the ruins of two early Christian basilicas with some remarkable mosaic floors depicting animals.

Peyia's amenities are mainly to be found on the main road leading into the village. There are also ample taverns to choose from serving an assortment of local dishes.

At the rear the village church visitors will find Peyia's answer to Aladdin's cave, in the form of a market selling everything one could possibly want from yoghurt, milk, bread, olives, frozen foods, fresh fruit and vegetables, kitchen sinks, microwaves ovens, cuddly toys, fondue sets and so on.
