The Paphos Bird and Animal Park is an exciting and informative day out for those of all ages. This extensive Park was initially created in order to educate the local communities about the world around them and how to care and conserve both bird and animal life alike.

The Park houses countless species ranging from mammals, such as giraffe; reptiles, such as crocodiles, iguanas and a selection of snakes; and birds of all varieties, from parrots, owls and ostriches, to ducks, swans and geese.

The continuous addition of new features and upgrading of others ensures the Parks reputation is maintained, and encourages visitors to return again and again. Besides the numerous species on display, other features the Park enjoys are that of an Amphitheatre, holding 350 visitors, where educational talks are held and programs shown on various species found within the park.; a Children's Farm with rabbits, chickens and goats etc; a handicraft shop, where visitors can witness the making of traditional rugs; a souvenir shop, where you can purchase a little memento from the day; and a traditional Cypriot restaurant which enjoys panoramic views over the surrounding area. The Park also benefits from its own veterinary clinic and sponsorship scheme, which enables visitors to adopt an animal or bird in order to contribute to the conservation and protection of endangered species.
