Overview Argaka is a village located in the coastal plains of Polis Chrysochous. It is a small and beautiful community which lies at the very beginning of Paphos Forest. Its best attribute is the beach which is only meters away from the inland. Argaka boasts both sea and mountain views offering an excellent climate.

Services With a population of 300 or so, it has coffee shops and a couple of taverns serving locally grown food. Argaka Village has two small supermarkets, a butcher, where you can purchase your daily necessities and a number of beach bars and restaurants. For more shops, banks and restaurants Polis is only a short drive away.

Activities Walking, hiking, cycling, quad biking, are yet a few activities found in the village of Argaka. The most popular recreation found in Argaka is swimming in the crystal clear waters and soaking in the sun on the beach.

Natural environment This part of the island is very fertile and has an abundance of fruit trees including figs, grapes, prickly pears, apples, oranges and lemons. Being rural, early morning walks are particularly enjoyable. The beaches also enhance the beauty of this village.

Historical sites Argaka has two churches, Ayia Varvara being the oldest. It has been extensively renovated and the carved framings around the doors reveal its age, probably being of the 18th century.
