The Adonis Baths and Waterfall lies in the magical area of Kili in Paphos. The main feature of this attraction is the 10 meter (32 feet) high waterfall, which cascades down into a large pool of water known as the baths.
According to legend this was a favourite meeting place of the legendary Aphrodite, Goddess of Love, and her lover Adonis. This was also the site of several unsuccessful assassination attempts on the life of Adonis by Artemis the Goddess of Hunting who was jealous of the two lovers.
Adonis is believed to have returned to the Baths, where he died in the arms of Aphrodite, after he was fatally wounded by a man disguised as a wild boar whilst out hunting.
